Client experience

You should never have to wonder whether your return—or your question—fell through the cracks.

Clients value the firm's tax knowledge and have also told us that callbacks, deadlines, and knowing when work is finished are where frustration builds. These checkpoints exist to address that directly.

Six steps

From first contact to completed work

  1. 01

    Choose the Right Path

Identify whether the need involves tax preparation, accounting, planning, or a tax problem.

  2. 02

    Complete a Guided Intake

Provide the basic facts, deadlines, entity type, and service needed.

  3. 03

    Enter ClientHub

Exchange sensitive documents, questionnaires, and messages securely.

  4. 04

    Confirm the File Is Complete

Receive a clear list of anything still needed and the expected next stage.

  5. 05

    Preparation and Professional Review

The assigned team prepares the work, resolves questions, and completes the appropriate review.

  6. 06

    Completion and Next-Step Guidance

Receive notification, instructions, completed documents, and relevant future planning recommendations.

Communication framework

The checkpoints built into every engagement

  • Immediate confirmation when your inquiry arrives
  • A named primary contact for your engagement
  • Confirmation when your documents are received
  • A clear list of anything still missing
  • An explanation of the expected preparation or response stage
  • Status updates while the work is in progress
  • Notification when the work is ready for you
  • Clear next actions on your side
  • Defined expectations for how questions are answered
  • Secure message history retained inside ClientHub

On response and turnaround times

Specific turnaround and response guarantees are not published here. What is committed to is the structure above: you are told who is handling the work, what is still needed, which stage the engagement is in, and what to do next.

Matters with an agency deadline are triaged against that deadline. If a date is close, call the office rather than waiting for a form reply.

Common questions

What clients ask before starting

How do I send my documents?

Through the secure ClientHub, or in person at the San Leandro office. Please do not email tax returns, Social Security numbers, bank records, payroll files, or government notices.

Who will be my contact?

You are told the name of your primary contact when your engagement begins. Elizabeth remains the professional accountable for the work and the point of escalation.

How will I know whether anything is missing?

After your documents are received you get a confirmation and, if applicable, a specific list of the remaining items rather than a general request for more information.

How long will my return take?

That depends on the return type, how complete your records are, and whether an agency deadline is involved. You are given the expected stage for your own engagement instead of a blanket turnaround figure.

Can I ask questions outside of filing season?

Yes. The engagement is intended to be year-round, which is the point of working with an Enrolled Agent rather than a seasonal preparer.
